AITC Resolutions
The following is a list of resolutions passed by AITC:
2005 - 14th Annual Convention
- Resolution 2005-01 AITC Support of the formation of the "Alaska Tribes Indian Child Welfare Unit," and inclusion of its identification of its representatives from the twelve geographical areas at our annual convention
- Resolution 2005-02 A resolution supporting the need for Elder Respite Care for Alaska Natives who wish to reside in their home communities to continue their traditional way of life among their families
- Resolution 2005-03 Support of the need for energy assistance
- Resolution 2005-04 Abuse by Catholic Priests and/or Catholic missionaries and other religious denominations
- Resolution 2005-05 Opposing the development of the pebble gold-copper-molybdenum porphyry mining district
- Resolution 2005-06 A resolution concerning global warming
- Resolution 2005-07 Opposition to the Exclusion of Alaska's Tribes from H.R. 3824, the Threatened and Endangered Species Recovery Act of 2005 (TESRA)
- Resolution 2005-08 Oppose Development of Oil and Gas in the 1002 area of the ANWR and Offshore Waters of the Arctic Ocean, Chukchi Sea, and the Beaufort Sea
- Resolution 2005-09 Opposing Listing ANCSA Corporations on the Secretary's Annual List of Federally Recognized Tribes
- Resolution 2005-10 A resolution requesting that AI-TC assemble a Conference to address the Legal and Political Rights of the Indigenous People of Alaska
