Resolution 95-024 :: AI-TC will continue to develop a proposal to IHS for tribal review and approval to take over statewide health services on its own.

Resolution 95-024 AI-TC

WHEREAS; AI-TC is the statewide organization of tribal governments in Alaska; and

WHEREAS; the IHS operates an area office, the Alaska Native Medical Center, and other essential statewide services on behalf of tribes and tribal members; and

WHEREAS; AI-TC is desirous of contracting some or all functions or programs of a statewide nature under the IHS system

WHEREAS; the ANHB is also desirous of an IHS contract of a similar nature; and

THEREFORE BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED; that the AI-TC and ANHB fails to take place that AI-TC will continue to develop a proposal to IHS for tribal review and approval to take over statewide health services on its own. Such proposal shall include Area office, ANMC, and essential statewide services for tribal consideration; and

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED; that the IHS make available its staff and resources, as applicable to assist AI-TC in the development of such proposal.
